Starting Point:
- Through years of acquisitions in Germany and abroad, the client has a historically grown, decentralised organisational and location structure
- In a rapidly changing market environment, more stringent and effective overall coordination of the international organisational units is becoming increasingly critical to the success of achieving strategic business objectives
- In addition to a long-term vision, particular attention must be paid to short and medium-term realisability, including clear prospects for all involved parties
Activities BLC:
- Creation of transparency about the status quo (local organisational structures, roles, know-how, costs)
- Structured evaluation of location factors and development of the future location strategy, including individual needs for change
- Support of concrete implementation and communication / change management measures
Key results:
- Suitable ‘low-cost location’ in a European country identified and implemented in the short term
- Existing locations bundled in a regional structure and locations for long term “ramp-down” selected
- Future roles, local organisational structures and indicative capacity requirements defined for each location
