Starting Point:
- The sustainable transformation of industry, infrastructure, and mobility is a stated goal both socially and politically and is supported by numerous funding programs at the European, national, and regional levels
- For our client, these “green funding programs” offer significant potential to lower the barriers to investment in sustainable technology or mobility solutions for customers, thereby opening up additional sales opportunities
- However, the process of translating complex funding criteria into concrete sales strategies, customer interactions, and project opportunities has not yet been systematically established
Activities BLC:
- Conducting a structured review of European, national, and regional funding programs, with a focus on the client’s various business units in the context of sustainable technology and logistics solutions
- Prioritizing suitable grant programs and creating fact sheets to serve as a practical foundation for in-depth research and client-specific grant consultations
- Development of a comprehensive sales approach, including a funding maturity model, quick checks, process guidelines, and scaling options
Key results:
- A total of 96 funding programs were analyzed, 51 of which were identified as generally suitable for the approach being pursued and were adapted to the client’s respective business areas
- The project focus has successfully evolved from a purely program-based search to a scalable sales enablement approach that specifically leverages green funding as a sales driver
- Through the introduction of a funding maturity model, funding program fact sheets, contact lists, checklists, and approaches for AI-based scaling, tangible and immediately useful sales support tools were implemented, while simultaneously embedding green funding systematically within the organization
